In an era where most, I mean most MMDCEs in Ghana wait for government funding (common fund, the $1m one constituency fund and other government sourced fundings) before embarking on developmental projects and works in their areas, some Chief Executives are in their own wisdom think otherwise. The Assin North Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Nicholas Kofi Baako is using technology (Social Media) to reach out to benevolent individuals and Corporate Institutions to help support an initiative he has started dubbed "Adopt & Support An Area In Assin North". This initiative seeks to garner support (both cash in kind) to support sectors like Education, Health & Sanitation, Agriculture, Youth Development and Security. These sectors according to him are very dear to his heart and is calling upon individuals living in and out of his Municipality & Ghana, banks, store owners, religious bodies, NGOs, government agencies to support (donate) little as they can to help change lives in Assinman. At the moment he has the following social media platforms: twitter (honfiifibaako), instagram (honfiifibaako), facebook (www.facebook.com/honfiifibaako) and a website (www.kofibaako17.wixsite.com/yeswecan).
He plans to launch this initiative on the fourth week of July and officially make it go viral but in the mean, he is seeking support from everyone to help him achieve this vision. A vision and Course I personally believe is noble and worth helping. Support Today and help change lives...
