Youth Must Use Social Media Profitably, Not To Defraud...Nana Kuntuo-asare!

Friends IT Solutions, a benevolent IT-based group led by Nana Kuntuo-asare a Youth Advocate & Social Blogger organized an ICT Workshop for selected Youth in Assin Foso in the Assin North Municipality.

The Workshop dubbed “ICT Clinic” is an intended ICT Series aimed at empowering the youth in the use of ICT to enhance their lives and professions.

The first one which was organized for eighteen (18) Youthful participants at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints-Assin Foso Station Ward, saw topics like “Effective Use Of Social Media By Bloggers & How To Write A Good Blog Post” being treated.

The Participants mostly Young Media practitioners and Teachers of ICT and were coached by experienced IT personnels like Nana Kuntuo-asare who is also the ICT Coordinator/Research Officer & Media Relations Officer at Ghana Education Service, Assin North Directorate and Mr. Nicholas Essuman also an ICT Tutor at Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS - Cape Coast.

To the organizers, the program was their ‘widow’s mite’ to help the youth put quality and professional post (Information) on social media especially the young journalists.

In an interview with Nana the team leader, he said “it is time the Youth are guided to us social media profitably instead of always being tagged with fraudulent activities”. He further promised that it was their dream to organize such ICT Sessions on periodic basis to engage the Youth of Assin and beyond.

He therefore pleaded with benevolent individuals like Mr Ameyaw and Collins of GCB, Kwame Nuamah, Mr Owusu Ansah, Nana Yaw Torscious, The Church Of Latter Day Saints and Cee1 Enterprise who were very helpful in the organization of the first Clinic to also assist in subsequent ones.

The Young Participants were full of praise for the organizers for putting up such an educative program to help the Youth and also pleaded with individuals and institutions to assist them put up more of such.

Certificate of Participation were awarded to the participants in a brief but colourful ceremony.
